Nutrition is a vital component of Sport Performance. What you eat affects your energy level, well-being and over all health and recovery.

"Creating a diet plan to support Maximum Fitness and Protect Against Disease is a two-part project. First, you have to know which nutrients are necessary and in what amounts. Unless you are an elite athlete who trains for a living, the Canadian Food Guide is more than adequate in relation to what we should be eating. Many of us learned about food groups in school and we leared that by choosing foods from each group, we could have a healthy diet. The fundamental principles of this food guide are: Moderation, Variety and Balance. A diet is Balanced if it contains appropriate amounts of each nutrient, and choosing foods from each of the Food Groups helps ensure that balance.
